It’s Friday, time to kick up our skirts and leave those briefcases to collect some weekend dust! What’s hot in heels this weekend? Follow the cool treasure map of DLIH suggestions below for a weekend Doing Laundry in Heels style! (You might just spot SK in the flesh if you’re lucky!)

Saturday, September 24th:

Big Band music is still alive! Want to put a little swing in your step? Check out this amazing SK find, America’s New Swing – The Joe Benjamin Big Band! An international mix of modern jazzy-snazz, this up and coming band has a gig this Saturday at Miles Cafe in Mid-town east! Check out their great original music and find more info on the websites!

Jazz or swing not your thing? How about a beer? Let’s hear a cheer! Cheesy or not, the Big Apple Beer Marathon 2011 is coming to a city near you, literally! This Saturday, for just $30, you get a gear kit for your 26 stop bar crawl! Check it out and remember, drink smart and safe!

Sunday, September 25th:

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is back for another event where singers, dancer, actors and musicians join together to raise money for a valuable cause. Head over to West 44th and Times Square for the Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction of show posters, costume sketches, playbills, lost recordings and more! A full line-up of events is scheduled and you may even seem some of your favorite stars of the stage and full show casts!

…and always remember, it’s not what you do (this weekend), it’s how you do it! Keep it classy!

Have an event coming up you’d like to see on Spend the Weekend with DLIH! Email sofia@doinglaundryinheels.com with details.
